A proposed new sustainable residential led mixed use community, including new homes and public space.

Welcome to Land at Brooklands Farm

Thank you for visiting our website. We are in the early stage of designing this exemplar new neighbourhood. This site provides initial details of the proposed development and offers you the opportunity to provide your comments and ideas as part of this public consultation. Further information will be provided in due course.

The Site

The Brooklands Farm Neighbourhood is a new sustainable residential led, mixed use community to the south-east of Whitstable town centre and is inspired by Longtye Wood ancient woodland and the Swalecliffe Brook that meanders through its heart.

Located to the south-east of Whitstable town centre and to the south-west of Chestfield, Kent.

The site is bounded to the north (Rayham Road) and east (Chestfield Road) by residential development, to the south by the A299 (New Thanet Way) and to the west by Brooklands Farm and residential development along South Street.

What is Brooklands Farm?

The land at Brooklands Farm is a proposed allocation as part of the ‘Canterbury District Local Plan Draft Allocation’ - specifically policy W4.

The proposed scheme is a new sustainable, residential led mixed use community, located to the south of Whitstable and south-west of Chestfield offering community facilities, shops, schools and improved transport connectivity routes.

What Makes the Site Special?

We have identified several key landscape and historic assets within the site, drawing inspiration from the locations, native character, strengths & local identity.
